Flapple: Missiles and Marriage
Flapple is the ultimate wing man in this crazy adventure! Avoid or destroy the obstacles in your path. Throw frogs at other frogs so they get married 🐸
Play Time: Roughly five to fifteen minutes for new or casual players.
Controls: This game has very simple controls
Action 1: Flap - Left Mouse Click OR Space OR Left Arrow OR "A"
Action 2: Shoot Missile/Frog - Right Mouse Click OR Enter OR Right Arrow OR "D"
Common game pad controllers are also supported.
About:
This was created by me, Captain_Onosa, for Solo Dev Game Jam #4. This Game Jam's theme was "Two Button Controls", and we were to work alone. I spent roughly 20 hours making this game over one weekend.
Confused? Here is how to play. Pipes deal damage to Flapple. Dodge the pipes by flapping. Collect the missiles power ups to get more ammo. Fire the missiles to destroy the pipes and get them out of your way. Fly into a frog at the bottom of the screen to collect them. Drop the frogs onto other frogs to get a victory point. Five victory points and you win.
There is also a way to get a bonus, but it is very difficult. If you throw a frog on a frog and then collect that frog before it disappears, it's a super frog, indicated by a rainbow. Toss the special frog onto a frog to get the bonus.
If you toss a special frog, and it misses, that frog is considered widowed.

Thank you for posting the video link. It was very instructive. It is clear more instruction was needed in the game itself. The second action button drops the frogs, and the goal is to drop frogs on other frogs.

The game is quite challenging (I’ll need to git gud before I post a screenshot :D), but it’s never frustrating. I love the art and the wacky mechanics.

its a pretty good game to loss time tbh hahahaI have work to do and this game is not helping!, the design are simple. but cute so they work with my aesthetics, so good job! Im still cannot do more than 2 frogs, Im the widowmaker ;(
Urushianaki complemented my art! I can die happy now 😁 I had a lot of fun making all the designs. I'm particularly happy with the frog. As for the difficulty, this game ended up a bit harder than I intended. I wanted to add a difficulty slider, but I ran out of time. I also think the bird flies a bit too fast. Once you get a few missiles, it becomes easier.

It took me a bit of time to get used to the controls, not gonna lie. This bird gets some serious lift with each flap, despite its tiny wings and chonky body!
It took a while to get the timing right to aim the frogs, too, but I got it done!
